This past week, Indiana Philanthropy Alliance hosted its conference, Philanthropy Leads. As a proud supporter, akoyaGO attended, exhibited, and most importantly, connected with the philanthropic community. The conference embodied the inspiring interconnection between the attending foundations. Organizations coming together within philanthropy to improve the lives within shared communities and, by a ripple effect, bettering all.
Throughout the conference, the akoyaGO team found familiar faces as we reunited with clients. This in-person time together included great conversations on what each foundation is actively achieving. Alexandra Pflug from Fayette Community Foundation, an akoyaGO user, shared that the foundation recently completed its first grant and scholarship cycle with GOapply. Hearing the great feedback given by the applicants and reviewers, who love the new process and usability, was a great addition to the exciting accomplishment by Fayette Community Foundation. We were able to link with several other fellow akoyaGO clients, such as Erin and Megan with The Clowes Fund, Amy with Ripley County Community Foundation, and Alex with Wayne County Foundation. It was a pleasure to see our valued clients taking part in the learning within different sessions, speakers, and networking opportunities.

Our team felt the best of both worlds during the conference, as we also met new foundations and philanthropic leaders. From attendees visiting the akoyaGO table at the Exhibitor Idea Exchange to enjoying local restaurants of Indianapolis during the dine arounds, our team feels grateful for the moments we shared with each new connection. Learning the missions, backgrounds, and people of the various organizations left our team feeling inspired by the community of Indiana Philanthropy Alliance.
