Last week, akoyaGO hosted EMPOWERED 2022, its third annual user conference. With nearly 100 attendees from more than 30 different foundations, we could not be more grateful for the opportunity to gather our clients together (and for the first time…in-person). During this time, there was an abundance of insights as well as collaborative conversations which strengthened the impact for all.
The Conference
The agenda of EMPOWERED offered an assortment of sessions which focused on finance and administration, grant and scholarship management, and the optimization of akoyaGO. In addition to the in-person learnings, all session recordings and supplemental information will be available for clients through our learning management system, GOlearn.
Whether a general session, an intimate breakout, a client-led panel discussion, or even a casual hallway conversation, enlightenment and learning was constantly present. Wisdom and experience took the stage with panelists Jennifer Fulton Anderson, Chief Financial and Operating Officer for Community Foundation Boulder County, and Kelly Matti, Director of Grants Management for Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. To further prioritize the notion we learn best from one another, user groups were held as an opportunity for attendees to connect regarding key topic areas, as well as industry knowledge and practices. EMPOWERED reinforced the value of association between philanthropic leaders, organizations, and akoyaGO.

Time and time again throughout the conference, it was evident there was value in shared learnings and expertise among our clients. Capitalizing on the newfound appreciation for the perspective of others, this event inspired a desire to further the impact of each foundation while optimizing its processes. We could not agree more.
