As you know, our legacy solution, Pearl, was developed on Microsoft Access back in 1996. Realizing the need to further leverage technology, we went on to develop akoyaGO in 2011, a fully configurable software built on the Microsoft Dynamics platform. In just the past two years, we have seen nearly 60 foundations adopt our go-forward solution, each one seeking an all-inclusive, modern technology designed for foundations that consolidates multiple platforms.
 

 

We were not willing to sunset our legacy solution until we were 100% confident akoyaGO could offer the best solution for our clients and the betterment of all foundations. We now believe we do. Therefore, we have made the mindful decision to discontinue Pearl support and all related Pearl products (FundWeb, eGrant, and Charity Check) at the close of 2024. 

 

What does this mean for you? 

 

If you have Pearl: The software will remain as is although we will no longer provide support services after December 31, 2024. You will be provided with a perpetual license with unlimited users. If you subscribe to the Charity Check feature, this add-on will no longer work in Pearl. 

 

If you have Hosted Pearl: In addition to no support services, we will no longer host your data. You will need to bring Pearl in-house or transition to akoyaGO. 

 

If you have FundWeb: This product will cease to exist. You will need to transition to our go-forward solution which includes GOfund. 

 

If you have eGrant: This product will cease to exist. Like FundWeb, you will need to migrate to our go-forward solution which includes GOapply. 

 

If you have Charity Check: This product will cease to exist. You will need to migrate to our go-forward solution which includes GOverify.
