Empowered User Conference

Empowered 2020 Exceeded Expectations

Last week we held our first annual virtual Conference, EMPOWERED! During a pandemic and massive social reform in progress, we had nearly 250 registered participants, with an amazing 196 individuals participating in at least one of the sessions! I am so excited about last week: the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The content was strong, and our team is jazzed.

To me, the most important thing is we started to build a Community. That word, Community, means something to me as I know it does you. Every day, you and your foundation are having a positive impact on your Community. A Google definition of community: A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

For those who attended, I know you can attest to this feeling of fellowship. Our team LOVED interacting with many of you. That connection makes us better because everything we need to know resides with you.

Bromelkamp has been around for an incredible 40 years. 2019 was a tough year for the team due to our Founder/CEO Henry Bromelkamp’s accident. Henry was – and IS – the life force and North Star for our values and ethics. He believed in building this Community. While I will never be able to fill his shoes – or match the size of his heart — my intensity in building a thriving, positive community runs deep. I hope you feel this new commitment to the akoyaGO Community. We are proud to share the significant improvements that we have done with the platform over the last year; and we are very excited announcing our plans for the new goApply (the better version of eGrant!) coming in early 2021.

This is a new company built on the great cornerstones of our long history. If you were not able to participate in Empowered this year, I encourage you to:

  • Share the content with your staff – it’s all online, free, and available for your usage.
  • Block the week of July 26 – 30, 2021. That is next year’s EMPOWERED! Hopefully, this will be a hybrid with in-person and virtual options.

Please know you are valued by me and our entire Bromelkamp family. We look forward to building this community with you!

With appreciation for all you do, every day.
